MirroPlane 0.3 alpha by BlackLizard 2005 May

Hi,
this is a simple dirty test for mirroring edit operations using a plane as a reference (position and orientation).

Installation:
Put the plugin in your main Silo dir under "Plugins\Startup Plugins"
Then map the two main functions to some keys:

Mirror Plane Create Mirror Plane:
	- Use the selected shape as reference: center at shape mid point and scale plane to shape width / depth
	- If no shape selected place a new grid at origin

Mirror Plane Switch:
	Activate/Deactivate mirror plane function

The grid object is just a proxy I create to show the plane and get position / normal.

HISTORY:
0.3 - 2005-05-04
- Multiple selection supported
- Works in vertex, edge and face mode
- Default mirror grid now along xy plane

0.2 - 2005-05-03
- New mirror method, find and catch mirror point: this should let you manipulate much easier when a symmetry is found.
- Added projection visualization: line from edited vertex to ideal symmetry point. Turns red when linked to shape vertex
- Some bugs removed
- Cleaned up code and got

0.1 - 2005-05-02
First release
Still some problems here and there, don't move to fast your main vertex or you're gonna lose the link with the
mirror one.
Try moving / rotating the reference plane. Move only one vertex at a time
If someone likes it I'll add some config settings for tolerance definition and the like.

Steps:
1. Create mirror plane (select a shape if you want to create the mirror plane using the primitive as a reference).
2. Create a new object or goto 3 if created a plane using a selected shape.
3.... Activate mirror and play. Deactivate. ReActivate....

I tested only with Silo 1.4 beta but should work with 1.3

Byez,
Black Lizard

NOTE:
This is alpha software, use at your own risk. Don't blame me if everything crashes :)
